This week has a third definition of "double mines", mines that literally double the amount of mines read by a square. I'll call these "doubler mines", to avoid confusion with regular double mines.
For instance, if three normal mines and one doubler mine were around a square, that square would contain a 6. Note that doubler mines are calculated after regular mines, and they also stack, so if two doubler mines were around a square, they would quadruple the mine count.
If there are doubler mines around a square but no regular mines, the square will contain a "0", because 2*0=0.
There are a few logical rules you can use with these doubler mines. For instance, if a square has an odd number on it, then there are no doubler mines around it.
Also, the highest number you can encounter is a 128 (1*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 or 1+1*2*2*2*2*2*2), but I don't think anyone will get that, especially considering there are only 10 doubler mines this week.
